- Local-only operations: backups and comparisons run on your workstation; outputs go to your chosen paths. No robot data is uploaded to ControlsDeck.
- Outbound-only licensing: brief HTTPS activation/heartbeat checks; no inbound firewall rules needed.
- No persistent services: the apps run when launched; scheduled backups use Windows Task Scheduler in user context.
- Minimal footprint: standard Windows user permissions; no device drivers or kernel components.
- Update control: updates are downloaded over HTTPS and installed only with user approval.
